Info Le Thoronet
You will find Le Thoronet at only 5 km from La Mouriane. A 5 min drive by car, or a little bit longer when you are courageous and use the bikes. There you will find the marketplace, with some small shops, such as the butcher shop, next to the bakery. In the town centre there is a post office and of course a tabac/café.
Would you like to taste the wine of the region? Our tip would be to try the Guilde Des Vignerons Cuvée Coquelicot du Thoronet Rosé. When you enter the village, you will find this small winery of the Cooperation de Thoronet on the right side.

– Chateau Font du Broc
– Chateau de Berne

– Chateau Les Crostes
In Les Arcs, at 18 km, a 15 minute drive, you will find the big shops, like the brand new Lidl, a little bit further up the road there is a large HYPER-U with a cheap gas-station, etc.
Every Saturday there is a grand flee market (vide-grenier) at the square just outside the village. There is also a train station in the centre of Les Arcs, were all trains (TGV) stop. In the beautiful town centre you can have a café au lait, with a fresh croissant under the platans and you will know exactly how it feels to live life the french way.
The abbey of Le Thoronet
Thoronet is known for the Abbey , just outside the village. It is one of the three Cistercian abbeys in the Provence, built between 1160-1230. Worth a visit!
